So over one year with Nala. She certainly is not a push ride 😉
We have been enjoying beach riding and getting back into Spring!
She looks really good. Not quite as shed out yet as last year but almost!
And she is moving very balanced. We are working on relaxing and slowing her gaits, trotting circles and trying to not gallop off at the canter.
Looking good for spring!
Beach ride of 4/24/16
Nala waiting not so patiently. She was good but bolted a bit on this ride when cantering. A bit high energy. We did not go with her pal the lead mare, Halla, but with Amore and Satin, the crazy Arabs!
Last day of April and we had an amazing beach ride and a detour though the forest. About an 8 mile ride in 70 degree weather. The horses were amazing, with Kids and dogs and beach people. We were even chased by a little jack russel and both horses were fine! The forest trail is narrow and the horses did very well!
We have come a very long way from last year. Nala loves to go out with Halla the lead mare in her field (Nala – Left, Halla – Center, Amore – Right). I will have to do more work with her solo or with other horses but she is coming along.
